Improving the performance of buildings in Dubai by reducing consumption of energy, water and materials...

The purpose of the Al Sa’fat regulations is to improve the performance of buildings in Dubai by reducing the consumption of energy, water and materials, improving public health, safety and general welfare and by enhancing the planning, design, construction and operation of buildings to create an excellent city that provides the essence of success and sustainable living.

Al Sa’fat regulations are additional to the Dubai Municipality Green Building Regulations and Specifications. The Dubai Green Building Regulations (DGBR) intend to support Dubai’s Strategic Plan, create a more sustainable urban environment and extend the ability of the Emirate’s infrastructure to meet the needs of future development.

Green building is the practice of creating structures and using processes that increase the efficiency of resource use — energy, water, and materials — while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building’s lifecycle, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal.

EMergy, as green building consultants, offers comprehensive solutions to guide projects within the jurisdiction of the Emirate of Dubai on implementing the best approach in all aspects of its green building regulations as required in the building permit and building completion process.
