The UAE Clean Air Forum is the first of its kind in the GCC providing industry platform for structured dialogues, transfer of ideas, technology and investment to improve air quality in the region.

As one of the most important aspects in built environment, the maintenance of acceptable indoor air quality and humidity levels remain to be a challenge in hot and humid climates. Azmi presented a case study on resolving these issues for an existing hotel in Muscat, Oman. The case study is a perfect example of the application of the ASHRAE Guide for Buildings in Hot and Humid Climates, and the importance of following the standard in the region.

The Clean Air Forum in conjunction with the Future Air Quality Technology Exhibition, hosted by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) and the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi (ADDED), was held on December 10 and 11, 2017 at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort.
